Coma girl helped by Adele

A girl has awoken from a coma after her mum sang an Adele song to her. Seven year old Charlotte Neve was unable to see or speak after she suffered a haemorrhage and despite having two operations doctors told Charlotte's family to prepare for the worst when she slipped into a coma. However, when mum Leila went to say goodbye to her daughter Adele's Rolling in the Deep came on the radio. She started to sing along and was shocked to see Charlotte smile. Within two days Charlotte was speaking and could get up from her bed. Two months later she has shocked doctors by learning to walk again and has regained some speech. "It's a complete miracle. Doctors told me to say goodbye and I thought I was going to lose my little girl," Leila told the Daily Mail newspaper. "I climbed into her hospital bed to give her a cuddle - she was wired up to machines and unresponsive - and Adele came on the radio. Adele Makes History. Again

More than a year after Adele's 21 hit shelves, it's still hitting #1 -- and this week it just reclaimed the top spot on The Billboard chart, which means the sophomore album has led the U.S. sales chart for 24 non-consecutive weeks. This puts 21 in an elite club of eight other albums to ever accomplish this goal. RELATED - Adele is Heading Back Into The Studio With this, Adele ties Prince and the Revolution's Purple Rain soundtrack. The five albums to have lasted longer include Harry Belafonte's Calypso , the South Pacific soundtrack and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours (each with 31 weeks), Michael Jackson's Thriller (37 weeks) and the West Side Story soundtrack (54 weeks). Adele - Adele Returns To Top Album Charts, Again!

How can Adele be at number one in the US Charts again? Surely almost everyone in the United States owns a copy of her ridiculous selling second album '21' by now. It would seem not apparently, and the LP has managed to clamber back to the top of the pile some 17 months after it was first released at the end of January last year. Crazy. So, what, has the British singer had a 24th wind? Or is there simply a lull in the US charts at the moment? Well, summer is traditionally a quiet period for big new albums, with many of the big hitters waiting until August and September to get their next efforts out - if they have not done so already in the spring (see Madonna). That means that it took '21' a mere 75,000 copies to go to the top of the US Billboard 200 this week, according to Music Week, and it is now behind only five albums in the all-time 'most times at number one' list. Impressive stuff. It's unlikely Adele will keep a hold of the top spot next week however,...

By Jillian Mapes, Rolling Stone Armed with her single "You Oughta Know," Alanis Morissette had a goal in mind: to remind an ex-lover of the mess he left when he went away. With 14.7 million copies sold of "Jagged Little Pill," her U.S. debut released 17 years ago Wednesday,21-year-old Morissette made her point loud and clear. In November 1995, Morissette was pictured on the cover of Rolling Stone next to a prominent cover line: "Angry White Female." In April 2011, Adele appeared on the cover. Her cover line: "Heartbreak Superstar." Does Alanis not chronicle heartbreak on "Jagged Little Pill?"
