According to data from the Official Charts Company , the soul singer's second LP has overtaken Oasis's 1995 record '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?'. The album, which was produced by Paul Epworth, has now shifted 4,562,000 copies, meaning it just edges ahead of the Britpop-era LP from the Gallagher brothers, which has sales figures of 4,555,000. Queen's 'Greatest Hits' collection remains the UK's biggest-selling album, having sold a whopping 5,866,000 copies, with The Beatles' 1967 record 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in second place with 5,059,000. She saw off competition from Canadian pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen, whose Call Me Maybe was the second most popular choice, picked by 5.4% of singers. Adele. (WENN.COM) British singer Adele has trademarked her name to ensure it cannot be used for any unaffiliated products, according to a report. The Someone Like You singer allegedly took the decision to protect her name and prevent it being used to stop fans being tricked into purchasing goods they mistakenly believe she has endorsed. The move makes it easier for the 24 year old to take legal action against companies who might use her name as a way of tempting consumers to buy products like perfume and jewellery. A source tells Britain's The Sun, She doesnt want anyone exploiting her name by using it on products which may trick punters (consumers) into thinking shes involved with it.

London, Dec 23 (IANS) English singer Adele has reportedly trademarked her name to ensure that no brand of perfume or jewellery uses it for promotion. The 24-year-old has filed an application with the country's Intellectual Property Office, reports thesun.co.uk. "She doesn't want anyone exploiting her name by using it on products which may trick punters into thinking she's involved with it," a source said. A trademark would mean Adele could take legal action against anyone who uses her name to market a product she has not approved, such as perfume or jewellery.
