Adele dominates album and singles charts; Rihanna surges

MANILA, Philippines -- Soul singer Adele dominates this weeks U.S. charts with her album 21 and her latest single Someone Like You topping the charts at the same time.
Adeles 21 sold an additional 106,000 units this week to beat out the competition that includes Christian rock group Casting Crowns and last weeks chart topper Evanescence. Adele's 21 is this years biggest selling album so far at 4.1 million copies, more than double the sales of its nearest competition, Lady Gagas Born This Way whos at 1.9 million.
On the singles charts, Rihanna surges to number twowith We Find Love featuring Calvin Harris. Rihanna is up four notches from last weeks listing and is close to zeroing in on Adeles perch. The forward moving Rihanna also corners this weeks number one spot on the Digital Songs Chart with 231,000 downloads.
Slipping a notch to number three is Maroon 5 with Moves Like Jagger featuring Christina Aguilera. DJs Redfoo and SkyBlu a.k.a. LMFAO meanwhile holds onto the number four spot with Sexy And I Know It.
Sliding down two notches to number five is American alternative pop band Foster The People with their single Pumped Up Kicks. Also stepping down are the Gym Class Heroes with Stereo Hearts featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5 who lands in at the number six spot.
Meanwhile, unmoving at the number seven spot is superstar club DJ David Guetta and his latest track Without You featuring Usher. Same goes with Cobra Starship who anchors itself on eighth spot with You Make Me Feel... featuring Sabi.
Zooming up to number nine from 97 is Canadian rapper Drake with Make Me Proud featuring Nicki Minaj. Closing this weeks rundown of the top US singles is LMFAO and their former number one track Party Rock Anthem who slips further down the charts at number ten.
