Adele starts work on new album, may delay release

Adele has already started work on her third studio album, but may delay its release.

The singer has teamed up with US composer Dan Wilson - who worked on megahit 'Someone Like You' - for the follow-up to 21, but may not release the record for another few years after announcing her pregnancy.

"Adele loves performing but she doesn't feel comfortable being such a high-profile celebrity," a source told the Daily Star.

"It all got a bit much for her last year and she wants to take a bit of time out of the fame game to be a normal mum.

"The last thing she wants is for her kid to become a celebrity baby or media commodity. Being a good mum is a lot more important to her than selling records and she's made it clear her priorities have changed now she's pregnant."

They added: "She doesn't want to be travelling the world touring or promoting when she can be at home. Although she's already started masterminding the third album, the chances of fans getting to hear it any time soon are slim t! o non-ex istent."

Speaking about the record, Wilson explained: "We've exchanged a couple of emails about the next album. I am concentrating on writing as many songs as I can for her. I am building some tracks."

Asked if Adele has any plans to tour, he added: "She doesn't need to tour. You don't have to when you're that successful."
