Adele: My stage fright makes me physically sick

Adele is currently expecting her first child

Adele has revealed that she faces crippling stage fright every time she's due to perform.

The musician suffered health problems last year that caused the loss of her singing voice.

Throat surgery has restored her voice, but Adele, 24, worries she won't be able to wow audiences as she performs songs from her platinum-selling albums.

'It starts from the minute I wake up,' she explains.

'My fear is that I'm not going to deliver and people aren't going to enjoy it.'

Adele's stage fright is so severe that she's often physically ill in the run-up to live shows.

'I get panicky and sick, I've thrown up a few times,' she tells The Sunday Express.

Adele, who's currently expecting a baby with partner Simon Konecki, is set to make her return to the music world in November, performing the theme tune for new James Bond movie Skyfall.
