Adele explains how she swore without her voice (Video)
Adele. (Mario Anzuoni - Reuters) Adele will make her triumphant return to the stage at the Grammys this Sunday, where she is nominated for six awards and will likely take home more than one.
The world has been missing Adeles stunning live performances since she underwent surgery in November to remove a polyp from one of her vocal cords.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, the British songstress said she used a notepad to communicate during the months when she was recuperating and couldnt speak.
I also had an application on my phone that you type the words into it and then it speaks it, she explained. But the great thing is I love to swear. Most of [the apps] you cant swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so Im still really getting my point across.
A singer who loves to swear plus an acceptance speech on live TV may equal a M.I.A.-esque faux-troversy. Sorry, Jen Chaney.
Adeles full interview airs Sunday at 7 ! p.m, an hour before the Grammys begin. Watch a clip below.
