Bruce Springsteen knocks Adele from top spot

(CBS News) Bruce Springsteen showed Adele who's the Boss this week. He knocked the British songstress from her perch when his new album, "Wrecking Ball," debuted at No. 1, ending Adele's 10-week straight run in the top slot of Billboard's Top 200 chart.

Adele, who enjoyed 23 non-consecutive weeks in the leading slot, slipped to No. 2 with 195,000 copies. Springsteen's latest release debuted with a very-close 196,000.

This marks the Jersey rocker's 10th No. 1 album, which means he's now tied with Elvis Presley for the third-most No. 1s in history. They follow the Beatles with 19 and Jay-Z with 12 top albums. "Wrecking Ball" is also the 17th Springsteen album to make the Top 10.

Springsteen will perform his new songs live when he hits the road with the E Street Band this month.
