Last week, British singer Adele announced plans to offer free screenings of her full-length concert DVD, Live at the Royal Albert Hall , in select theaters in 26 cities around the globe. The upcoming DVD features her 90-minute performance in one of Britain's most historic venues this past September. Adele has led the charge to propel women to a record share of album chart sales this year. Female artists have accounted for one in three album sales in 2011 so far, the Official Charts Company and BPI said.
