On Wednesday Adele Makes History was a top story. Here is the recap: (Gibson) Adele is the first artist to sell a million units of an album on iTunes in Europe. According to U.K. music trade magazine, Music Week, her album 21 racked up those sales in just under a year.

Music Week quotes a music business consultant as saying that the record was a "great landmark for digital album sales."

"This is a positive news for the music industry and Apple's iTunes has done a great job of helping to sell digital albums," he said.

"However, mass buying of digital albums is swimming against the tide and is getting rarer. Most people now like consuming music as singles and a growing number either stream songs or watch the videos on YouTube. Fewer and fewer people download entire albums to own." - more on this story
