Adele to perform at Brit Awards

LONDON, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- British soul singer Adele is to perform at the Brit Awards in London, marking her comeback after undergoing vocal-cord surgery late last year.

The recording star was forced to cancel dozens of 2011 concerts due to her need for the operation and subsequent recovery from it.

She announced Friday she will return to the stage Feb. 21 at the 2012 Brit Awards, EW.com reported.

Adele is also scheduled to attend the Grammy Awards show in Los Angeles Feb. 12, but has not been announced as a performer.
