Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' most played song on Spotify in 2011

Adele's 'Rolling In The Deep' has been named as the most played song on Spotify throughout 2011.

The singer beat off competition from Bruno Mars's 'Grenade' and Rihanna's 'S&M' to take the title, which she also claimed on Spotify in France and the Netherlands.

Jessie J has two entries in the top ten with 'Price Tag' at number four and 'Do It Like A Dude' at five.

LMFAO's summer hit 'Party Rock Anthem' lands at six, while Adele's second top ten appearance resides at seven with her cover of 'Make You Feel My Love'.

Rihanna has a further two songs in the top ten, with Loud tracks 'What's My Name?' at eight and 'Only Girl (In The World)' at nine.

Katy Perry's 2010 hit 'Firework' completes the top ten.

In the US, Foster the People's 'Pumped Up Kicks' topped the tally, while Jennifer Lopez's 'On The Floor' was the most played song on Spotify in Spain.

Adele recently revealed that she insisted 'Rolling In The Deep' should be the lead single to be taken from her multi-million-selling album 21.
