ADELE has broken another chart record in Australia.
The UK singers album 21 celebrates a year on the chart this week and its 26th week at No.1.
That now beats John Farnhams 25 weeks at No.1 with Whispering Jack.
Adeles next hurdle is to beat Delta Goodrems 29 weeks at No.1 with Innocent Eyes and the Hair soundtrack which spent 28 weeks at No.1 in 1969.
Dire Straits Brothers in Arms is the ARIA No.1 champion with 34 weeks at No.1.
21 has spent 50 weeks in the Top 10 in Australia, and while it dropped to No.12 for one week in April, since then it has never been lower than No.4.
The album has gone 10 times platinum, marking sales of over 700,000 copies.
Adeles Live at the Royal Albert Hall CD/DVD has been No.1 for the eight weeks it has been released.
21 has also returned to No.1 in the UK today, clocking up 20 weeks on top.
Her debut album, 19, was No.1 for a week in the UK.
That means Adeles 21 weeks at No.1 in the UK album chart puts her equal with Queen and Oasis.
However, it took Queen nine and Oasis eight albums to secure 21 weeks atop the British charts.
Adele managed it with two albums.
Adele will perform at both the Grammys and the Brit Awards next month, ending months of silence after an operation on her throat.
